Day 9 – Our First Aussie National Park
Today we needed out of the house and our hosts had busy days at work so we were on our own. What kinda trouble can these Wilderness Americans get in?
We thought we would start off with a State Park…that could not be to much trubble, right? We missed the intended turn because of a little tiff with the kiddos in the back seat. No problem, we will just take the next country road. We found it without any problem. Found our first “Wombat” sign and on to the park. Shortly after the wombat sign we came to the Lerderderg State Park sign…this is what we found. Oh, lets just go a while there should be something, nope, just this. Maybe we need a UTE for Australian State Parks. 😉
Maybe with the UTE and an actual map we can come back here. We took the back country roads around and back towards home. We stopped at a local park for lunch but it was a bit chilly so did not play long. On the way home was the Organ Pipes National Park. Our first Aussie National Park.
There was just a short 20 min hike to get to the pipes. It was a wonderful hike!!!
